Wish I were deaf so that I could totally ignore what my detractors have to say about me. It hurts when after a long day people still question your dedication to work. Every time such a thing happens, I decide to pay that person in the same coin, but my conscience doesn't allow me to stoop so low. Of course, I wear this non-chalant attitude and deprive the gossip-mongers the pleasure of rattling me, but inside, I fume, rave and rant...

So, people usually say "I understand" just to make the other person feel better.
1) I did not mean it that way.
2) I said I understand simply because I've lived through EXACTLY the same situation (albeit, different circumstances) you mentioned. So I know do really know how it feels (and now that you mentioned the situation in more detail, I feel my "I Understand" was apt).

I do understand marathi - mostly spoken marathi. Written... well I claim to understand it - but it takes me a while to read. Which is sad. Really sad, but true. And I've not done anything to improve that situation. Lets blame it on... time. :)

The quote: Its geekish - thats all.

One suggestion: It might be nice to put up your email on your blog in case people want to contact you directly.
